We designed this pack from the ground up to meet climbers' needs when they are on the wall.
The Baiyansi 30 came out of years of experience from everywhere ranging from the desert walls of Red Rock, Nevada to the newly explored cliffs of the eastern Himalaya. All of the pack’s features are built from years of experience and feedback.

Let’s face it. No one wants to wear a great, functional backpack if it looks silly and ridiculous. We designed the Baiyansi 30 as something you can just as easily bring into the mountains as you can to the climbing gym, your next flight, or even to work!
Building Systems
Packs we make are not just a one-off. They are meant to be part of a greater ecosystem of gear that compliment each other to make your life easier and your objectives more in-reach when you are in the backcountry. While we are starting with rock systems, we hope to move into the alpine and ski disciplines, too!
Anti-enshittification
The core of each piece of gear is to maximize its durability, not to skimp on the materials. While designs may change over the years, we always build gear from the philosophy of “how can we make it better?” not “how can we swap out for cheaper materials?”
The Upcoming Ecosystem
For guides and climbers, a pack is as much a tool as their cams, harness, shoes, or helmet. It is built for purpose. And just like all of those other tools, it is meant to work in-concert with other parts of the climbing kit to provide both a great day out AND a margin of security before and during climbers’ time on the wall. While every climber has their own style and particulars for packing for their big day out, these tools are meant to be a modular, solid foundation on which climbers build their wall kit!

The Pre-Trip Gear Tarp Let's face it. So many of us get jittery the night before a big climb wondering if we forgot to pack something. We lose sleep worrying we might have forgotten something that might end our climbing trip early! That's where the Pre-Trip Gear Tarp has you covered!
Guide-style First Aid Kit Many of the kits that you buy for hiking and backpacking come with stuff that is either too bulky or not useful for what you are trying to take with you on a multipitch climb. The Baiyansi kit features a trim set of essentials for the common issues climbers face in the field. It also comes with a field guide detailing the common things issues you find in the field.
Superlight stuff sack Whether you use it for the first aid kit int he ecosystem or for your daily essentials when you are out on a big adventure, this bag is meant to contain your kit neatly while adding as little weight as possible to your day bag.
Integrated framesheet splint The stock back panel that keeps the frame rigid can be swapped out for a framesheeet that doubles as a splint, adding versatility to your wall kit int he case of an emergency without adding bulk.
Emergency bivy bag For those routes that get into the alpine. Some of those wall adventures can put you up high when a storm rolls in. This emergency 2-person bivy bag packs down to smaller than a Nalgene bottle and can keep a team of 2 dry when bad weather hits.

This pack is meant to provide everything you need your pack to do for the approach in, the send of your big route, and the long trips back to the car.
Burly exterior: Exterior constructed from XPac VX42–one of the most abrasion-resistant fabrics on the market–and a Kevlar bottom panel to stand up to scraping over rock.
Versatile volume expansion: The base volume of 30 liters can quickly go up to 35+ liters with the deployment of the ninja side pockets, the rope straps, and the helmet cover. You can carry everything you need for the day on the way in without having to use a big clunky pack and stow the extra volume away for the climb!
Integrated haul sack: Hidden compartment at the bottom of the bag hides a protective cover that seals up your pack for hauling up those hard pitches. It saves the main body of the pack from abrading on the rock. Haul sacks are easily replaceable as their own independent piece!
Double-duty frame sheet: Removable frame sheet in the back panel can double as a splint as part of your field first aid kit.
Ice axe compatible: One thing a lot of rock climbing specific packs forget is that you might have to cross some snow or ice to get to the rock! Modular ice axe loops and keeper straps allow for 1 or 2 ice axes to be strapped to the back. Crampons can easily fit in the side pockets.
Supportive, stowable hip belt: Foam hip belt provides support for the long approaches to the climb, but can fold and stow in the frame sheet pocket.
Easy-access camera and phone pocket: Need to snap a sweet photo of your friend high up on the wall! The pack has a dedicated, easy-to-access pocket on the hip belt that can fit most phones (and a few snacks, too!).
